Dream Again!

what our staff are saying

Facts

The Centre offers specialized bilingual tertiary rehabilitation services, inpatient care, and outreach programs to thousands of New Brunswickers who have suffered traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries

I’ve worked in rehabilitation now since my 2nd year of medical school – a total of 20 years. The last 12 of them have been here at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation. I’ve many times seen the fantastic teamwork that helps pick up broken people, families and dreams and lets them heal, move, live and hope again. I’ve seen the child with a disability grow up to go to school and work, as well as seen the adult with disability return to a meaningful family and societal role. We have the team, but we could sure use better tools. Help us enable people to dream again.

Having opportunities for fun family time often becomes a challenge while undergoing time consuming therapy. One of my personal “dreams” is a place where children and their families can play and relax together. The park at the new Centre will allow families to spend quality time together while learning play and social skills. This is why I support the SCCR Capital Campaign.

The Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation becomes a “home away from home” for many of our patients and their families. I look forward to working in our new facility and helping patients on their road to recovery in a brighter, more accessible, and technologically equipped setting — an environment that will suit the specific needs of patients with neurological disorders throughout New Brunswick.
